Witness the diverse life forms in the Indira Gandhi Zoological Park

Indira Gandhi Zoological Park is located within the Kambala konda Reserve forest in Visakhapatnam. In the year 1977, the park was opened for public. The park is spread across an area of 625 hectares amidst the Eastern Ghats Mountains, which looks absolutely scenic and picturesque. The park is surrounded by mountains on three sides and Bay of Bengal on the fourth side which makes it an ideal place for a reserve forest. You can find primates, mammals, carnivores, reptiles, ungulates and birds all kept in different sections in their natural habitat.

Reaching the park is absolutely easy. It is located at a distance of just 4 kms from the Vizag railway station. You can also access the park by road as it is situated on the National Highway no. 5 near Madhurawada.
